iTUNES WILL BE CENTER STAGE AT
SMUG’S MARCH MEETING
Taking advantage of the many features Apple builds into its heavily used iTunes
application will be the main topic when members of the Sierra Macintosh Users Group
(SMUG) gather for their monthly meeting Tuesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. in the community room of the Murphys Library, 480 Park Lane, adjacent to Murphys Park.
“In addition to providing access to thousands of recordings of all types of music,
iTunes can lead you to a bunch of other neat destinations including movies and
podcasts,” states SMUG president Dick Cross, who will be making the presentation.
“And iTunes U offers university level courses in everything from religion and astronomy
to algorithms and trigonometry. Since Apple has recently made a number of formatting
changes, a brush up can be helpful.”
In addition to gaining a better knowledge of iTunes, meeting attendees are
encouraged to ask questions about any other Mac related subjects.
SMUG meets the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are open to
everyone and there is no charge to attend. The organization exists to keep Mac users
abreast of the latest developments and to address the nagging questions that arise from
time to time. Its goal is to take the mystery out of computers and to enable members to
take advantage of all the features their Macs possess.
SMUG was founded in 1995 and is a non-profit organization run completely by
volunteers. Annual dues are $15. For more information visit the SMUG website at
