What: The 11th Annual Love the Forest Valentine’s Concert benefits the local non-profit group Ebbetts Pass Forest Watch. You can check them out on Facebook or http://www.forestwatchers.org. Tickets are available at the locations listed below. Love the Forest is always a memorable evening of fun with a drawing and great live music for all ages, this year featuring: Cantamos, the Tour Guides and Bill Welles.
Cantamos - An eclectic group of musicians playing many styles of music. Cantamos was formed in 2009 by members of The Tour Guides Band. Michela fronts the band singing many of the songs. She sings in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French. The guy's back her up on harmonies with Fred, Ron & Jerry also singing some lead vocals.
The Tour Guides (http://tourguidesmusic.com/) The Tour Guides are a group of local musicians who perform at venues in Calaveras County and beyond. With Jessie Mouser on lead and harmony vocals, the band will take you on a musical journey. Jessie is backed up by an eclectic group of musicians, including Fred Treece on Guitar, Jerry Solberg on Keyboard, Sam Nilsen on drums and Ron Schaner on Bass.
Bill Welles: A very versatile player, Bill has been playing locally for many years. Bills voice has been liken by some as sounding like James Taylor. His rock’in band (The Bills) can be seen playing up and down Highway 4.
When: Saturday, February 16th at 7:00pm
Where: The Black Bart Playhouse 580 Algiers in Murphys
Cost: $15 (Seniors and Students $12) in advance or $20 at the door
