Saturday, March 17 - Murphys Irish Day
Murphys, CA...Saturday, March 17, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Murphys Irish Day. Daylong family celebration of the historic gold rush town of Murphys CA and its Irish heritage made special this year because it falls on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17. 8-11 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast, Congregational Church. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Festivities will include live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, pony rides, a wide variety of foods and beverages, and a raffle with a trip to Ireland as grand prize. At 11 a.m. a parade featuring bagpipes, bands, marching groups, animals, classic cars, a circus wagon with calliope and much more will make its way down Main Street. Irish Day is presented each year by the Murphys Business Association. There is no admission charge. Parking and shuttle service is available at Ironstone Winery on Six Mile Road. Cycling Training for Mr Frogs Wild Ride
Join us for four training rides in the foothills. These training sessions are FREE for those signed up for either Mr. Frogs Wild Ride or one of our CycleFit Camps.
Mr. Frogs ride is a great introduction to your early season riding. What better place to train than the Sierra Foothills of Murphys, CA! It offers amazing scenery with fun and challenging country roads to take your training to the next level.
There will be 4 training rides, beginning in March, to help you better prepare for this hilly, silly biking event. The course is friendly and you do not have to be an Olympic athlete to finish it! Yes, it's a friendly one....
