Dewayne Brown has lived in Angels since 1962 and graduated from Mark Twain Middle School and Bret Harte High School. After obtaining a License in Broadcast Engineering, earning an Associate degree in Fire Science, and serving in the U.S. Air Force working in Communications, Brown returned to Angels. He worked for the Angels Fire Department since 1975 as the City’s first paid Firefighter and in 1981 the City’s first paid Fire Chief. Brown served the community as Fire Chief for 15 years and then finished his career with 10 years as the City Fire Marshal. He continues to serve as a Battalion Chief/Duty Chief and looks forward to being a Volunteer Docent at the Angels Camp Museum to share all of the reasons that Angels Camp is such a unique and special community. Brown is married to Elizabeth and they have three children.
