Mountain Ranch, CA...."Hidden Treasures Road Show and Sale" is coming to the Mountain Ranch
Resource Center September 28th and 29th.

This fundraiser is our foothill version of the Antiques Road Show. If you have
ever wondered what your great-granny's quilt might be worth or if that
beautiful vase you picked up at the Thrift Store for a dollar is really an
antique, here's your opportunity to find out. The Mountain Ranch Youth
Alliance will be holding their first Hidden Treasure Road Show and Sale on
September 28 and 29 at the Mountain Ranch Resource Center, Whiskey Slide
Road at Mountain Ranch Road.

Evaluators will be present on Saturday, Sept. 28, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. For only $5
per item professional dealers and local experts will evaluate your
treasures. BBQ Lunch and silent auction on site.

have something you would like us to sell, we will gladly do that and split
the proceeds with you. Profits will go to support the Mountain Ranch Youth

09:00 AM - 05:00 PM Warwick Schiller Horse Clinic
- Horse owners with horse problems have help coming to their rescue. National Reining Horse Association Reserve World Champion and one of today’s most in-demand equine clinicians, Warwick Schiller, is holding a horse clinic, September 28-29, 2013 at the Rusty Spur Ranch in Ione, CA.

“Warwick's ability to solve horse problems is a skill that only the world's finest horsemen possess, but his unique gift lies in his ability to explain the how, why and when of what he does with the horses. ‘Making the Wrong Thing Hard and the Right Thing Easy,’ is Schiller’s easy to understand no-nonsense philosophy. We are very lucky to have someone of Warwick Schiller’s caliber coming to our area to help,” said Shell Brodnax, the clinics coordinator.

Occasionally, horse owners experience issues in training their horses such as being anxious, going too fast, going too slow, flighty, won’t leave other horses, won’t stand still, hard to bridle, backing up issues, trouble with trailer loading, not picking up a certain lead or just plain old spooking. Whether you are a seasoned rider or a beginner, if your horse is young or has some miles, this is the clinic you don’t want to miss.

Clinic fees are very affordable at only $150.00 per day, per rider, for one horse and only $25.00, per day, to audit per person. Space is limited and advance sign-up is required.
10:00 AM - 05:00 PM Calaveras Artists Open their Studios for the 8th year in a row for Public Viewing on September 28 &
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras artists are excited to welcome you into their homes and studios from which you can see and purchase their creations. Greet and talk with over 25 artists during the Calaveras Artists Studio Tour, Saturday and Sunday, September 28-29. Artists from past years tours return and new artists to the tour join in. The Artists Studio Tour brings artists and art lovers together in relaxed and friendly environments where the various elements of art are shared and enjoyed. Artists will be on hand from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on both days for questions and discussion as they “show their process” and reveal how, why and where they create their artwork. Purchase original art, prints or unique gift items directly from the artist...

The tour is self-guiding through the purchase of a $10 per person “Passport.” The passport is pocket sized and includes a color photograph of a sample of each artist’s work. The map inside the passport guides you to 12 different sites where artist work or display their art. You will travel through Calaveras County back roads and country neighborhoods in Arnold, Murphys, Angels Camp, San Andreas, Glencoe, Mokelumne Hill, and Mountain Ranch. Spread your trip over both Saturday and Sunday for a leisurely journey through the dramatic fall landscape.
