From Cliff:

I was born in Lodi Ca. May 31, 1956. Our family moved to Happy Camp Ca. at the age of five. By age nine, I was helping with my family’s logging business setting chokers in the woods and doing lube jobs on our logging trucks. At age thirteen we moved to Newark, Ca. In High School I played in the Newark High Concert, Jazz, and Marching Band of 148 members. I graduated from Memorial High School in 1974. I participated on the wresting team, the football team and band. After I graduated I worked for Pengo Forge and Berkley Forge and Tool and in 1976 I went to work for Safeway Non-foods Warehouse. I earned a position of Maintenance Mechanic at Safeway and sat in as a Union fact finder.

I took on a second job from 1978 to 1983 with Bill Grahm presents as a crowd control person and bodyguard. In 1987 I went to work for American Auto Service as a Contract Manager for Pacific Bell and joined The Rotary Club for community and international service opportunities. In 1996 I became a Pacific Bell Fleet Manager and in 2006 I left SBC and moved to San Andreas with my wife Silvia to take care of my mom. We opened up our first restaurant Taqueria El Sol, and then Country Cliff’s restaurant. I became a San Andreas Recreation and Parks Director and volunteered for many projects and fundraisers in San Andreas. I was elected into office as District 1 Supervisor, Calaveras County and took office on January 5th, 2013.
