05:00 PM - 07:00 PM The Second Murphys Complete Streets Workshop is June 27
Murphys, California – On Wednesday, June 27, the public is invited to attend the second workshop for the Murphys Complete Streets Plan. The project is a cooperative effort between Calaveras County, the Calaveras Council of Governments, and Caltrans to develop a plan for the Highway 4 corridor through Murphys. Based on close coordination and input from the community, the plan will identify and prioritize improvements to provide safe connectivity along the corridor by all modes, including walking and biking.

The workshop will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Old School House, located at 65 Jones Street in Murphys. The workshop will be a review of conceptual design alternatives for various improvements and will help to determine a preferred alternative. Murphys residents and business owners are invited to stop by and review materials and offer feedback.

05:30 PM Locals Night at Milliaire Winery on June 27th
Murphys, CA...Enjoy a glass of wine on our creekside patio, tacos by La Esperanza Taco Truck and live music featuring Daniel Kushnir! 5:30 PM - 8 PM at Milliaire Winery Tasting Room at 276 Main St in Murphys.

Milliaire Winery is a small family-owned winery founded by Liz and Steve Millier in 1983 in the cellar of their former home in Murphys CA. In 1990, the winery moved to an old Flying A gas station on Main Street in Murphys. The whole building was utilized for daily operations; barrels stacked in the repair bays, wine tanks in the backyard, bottling in the front yard and the tasting room in the office. There were jokes about what was in "those tanks" and a friend of the Milliers' dubbed it the "Roadside Chateau".

Following their dreams of making premium wines from the Sierra Foothills, today Milliaire Winery has expanded and occupies over an 8,000 square foot winery with a dedicated barrel room and modern crush pad facility. The Milliaire Winery tasting room still resides in the old "Roadside Chateau" at 276 Main Street.

Enjoy a unique selection of Foothill wines from Alicante to Gewurztraminer & Zinfandel Port. Bring your lunch and experience our wines on our picturesque Creekside Patio! Kids are welcome. Dogs on leash are also welcome.
06:00 PM Music in the Parks: BluesBox Bayou June 27, Utica Park
Angels Camp, CA...The BluesBox Bayou Band is about making music for your feet, no pretenses, no big hair, no spandex pants… just a down home approach to making good music. From the humblest beginnings in 1996, the BluesBox Bayou Band has been on a road of discovery for over fifteen years. Performing in the Louisiana tradition, they have played up and down the west coast from Oregon to Southern Cal and have recorded over five studio CDs. They're headliners in numerous venues; we're very lucky to have them perform for us in Utica Park where the community can hear them admission free.

The band was founded by singer-songwriter Pete Grimaldi, who has created a unique sound of American Roots Music that unites influences from Lousiana Swamp Boogie, Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, and Reggae, and includes Clifton Chenier and Queen Ida. This popular band performs classic Louisiana tunes along with original material, written by band leader Pete Grimaldi. What comes to life is a dance party celebration of Louisiana culture with heartfelt lyrics, beautiful melodies, an infectious rhythm, solid guitar riffs, and harmonious back-up vocals.
