Come experience the far side of New Melones Lake where miles and miles of trails meander through the Peoria Wildlife Management Area. Join Ranger Alicia to discover the trails less traveled and learn why it is designated a Wildlife Management Area. This strenuous mountain biking event will cover 10 miles of trails.

Petroglyphe Gallery is proud to offer the continuation of Dale Laitinen’s Developing Visual Literacy Series. The next workshop, “Marriage of Line and Color,” will be held on Saturday, March 9th from 10 am to 2:30 pm. This workshop is for those with some experience in drawing and watercolor who want to develop skills for combining line and color. Participants will learn a variety of techniques to combine drawing with watercolor. Join us at Petroglyphe Gallery for this exciting journey of visual discovery.

11:00 AM Native Sons of the Golden West Dedication
Native Sons of the Golden West will be doing an historical dedication of the Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys at March 9 at 11:00 am. The dedication is open to the public. The cemetery was established in 1855 or slightly earlier and contains the resting sites of many persons of the past, including miners and Native American families.

There will also be dinner at the NSGW Hall at 389 Main Street. Dinner is $30 per person and guests must choose between Beef in a Barrel or Marinated Grilled Chicken and reservations are required. There will also be a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 10 (reservations not required) from 7:30 to 11:30 am with a cost of $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
