Fourth Annual "PAWS and CLAUS" ~ By Hanna Alldrin

Murphys, CA....Deck the halls with boughs of holly, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff, ruff. Tis the season to be jolly, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow. The fourth annual "PAWS and CLAUS" was another holiday success for The Calaveras Humane Society. Dogs, cats, rats, birds, reptiles, and miniature horses all had the opportunity to take a Christmas photo with the one and only Santa Claus.....

The event took place at the Masonic Hall in Murphys from 10:00am to 4:00pm this afternoon. We spoke with the owners of Gabriel, a four and a half pound white Maltese pup, who shared, "this is great to be able to have his picture taken with Santa."

The pictures were only $10.00 which included a nice Christmas card. All the proceeds benefited the homeless animals of the Calaveras Humane Society. At 12:00 this afternoon they had already had a Christmas kitten adopted into a loving home.

Visitors were able to shop at a Christmas boutique filled with wonderful baked goods and fun animal related gifts for pets and humans alike. If you are interested in adopting an animal this holiday season you can contact the Calaveras Humane Society. Add a new four-pawed member to your family.
