Murphys Art Walk Attracts 30 Artists
Murphys, CA....A year round Murphys Art Walk, sponsored by Murphys Business Association, will feature 20 art galleries/retailers/wine tasting rooms hosting 30 artists every second Saturday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. starting Saturday, December 13. An additional twenty (20) supporting businesses will stay open late for added shopping, eating, wine tasting and festivities.....
Award-winning artists include many painters of watercolor, oil and acrylics, jewelers, sculptors in clay and metal, one-of-a kind handbags, flower art, hand carved tables, collage, fine art masks and a children’s book illustrator. Murphys is the place to park and walk for art, shopping, wine tasting and restaurants.
Meet your favorite local artists including: George Durkee and Sharon Strong of The Art Gallery, Jeannie Vodden at the Murphys Historic Hotel, Sharon Baker featured at the Iron Door Gallery with work by Barbara Garvin, Sally Evans, Amy Haratani, Kathy Hall, Vivian Garvin, Martha Wallace and Mike Nelson, Patrick Daniel of Sierra Forge, Helen Scofield at French Hill Winery, Janet and Andy Trinkle at Tea an’ Teaques, Carol Fields at Sustenance Books (January), Nancy Macomber at Uptown Merchantile, Dave Gano at Villa Mia Antiques, Janette Jones at Milliaire Winery, Rudy Ortega at Piazza, Megan Aguilar at Del Nini’s, Kathleen Dunphy at Tanner Winery, Staria Stine at Solomon Wine Company, and Patricia Rohovit at Sierra Sunwear. Artist at SNAC to be announced. Other art works will be shown at Murphys Jewelry Company featuring Nannette Klass and local jewelers, Ed Hardy bags at Sac A Main, George Dillion at Domaine Becquet Wine Tasting Room and a rotation of artists at the new Beaux Chevaux Tasting Gallery. Galleries, businesses/wine tasting rooms hosting artists will be designated by balloons out front from one end of Main Street to the other.
