Heavy Emergency Personnel Activity above Arnold Area....UPDATED Body of Deceased Adult Male Found. Deceased is Kevin Harris, 38 of Camp Connell
Calaveras County, CA....There is heavy emergency personnel activity above the Arnold area at this time. We are following progress of the incident and will provide additional information as we receive it. UPDATE #1 2:45pm....We are on scene now just between Arnold and Big Trees. There has been a deceased male's body found along the Hwy 4 Corridor off of an embankment. We are getting as many details as we can now. Traffic is slow in the area, so please use caution, and please keep this man' family in your thoughts and prayers. Updates to come.. UPDATE #2 2:52pm, After speaking with Sgt.Stark of the Calaveras County Sheriffs Department on scene, there is no apparent indication of foul play. It may have been an accidental death.... .
 
Initial indications are that the gentleman could have fallen and struck his head and his death may be hypothermia related. Official details to come when we receive them. (Update #3) We just spoke with Calaveras County Sheriff's Department Spokesman Sgt. Dave Seawell and they are treating the incident as a suspicious death and will be investigated in that manner. We will update you when we have the official release.
As of 6:00am this morning, 11/3/08, we have not received the name of the deceased.
