Daniel J. Dillon 1979 ~ 2024

Valley Springs, CA...Daniel J. Dillon April 25, 1979 ~ March 28, 2024 (age 44).  Dan passed away on March 28, 2024 at age 44 unexpectedly from a blood clot. Dan was born to Jerry and Sue Dillon on April 25, 1979 in San Jose, CA. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry on March 7, 2024. Dan and his older brother Jerret grew up in Morgan Hill, CA. They enjoyed riding dirt bikes, playing with their dogs, boating, and hiking. Dan graduated from Live Oak High School in 1997. Dan and Jerret spent their careers together in underground construction.

Dan met his wife Holly (McGraw) in 2001 and they were married in 2007 in Bodega Bay, CA. They had two children Zoey (2012) and Carli (2015). Dan and his family resided in Hollister, CA and recently moved to Valley Springs, CA to be near his parents.

Dan grew up playing baseball and enjoyed playing with RC cars. He was an animal lover, and often tried to help injured wildlife and devoted his time to his pets. He liked watching Nascar and baseball. He started weight-lifting in 2014 and competed in several local arm wrestling competitions. Dan was very skilled at cooking, gardening, home and car maintenance. He was a jack of all trades and always willing to help others. Dan was a great conversationalist and made friends wherever he went. He was very strong and determined in whatever he put his mind to.

Dan didn't need much to be happy, and would be content with his Bible, some music, plants to take care of, and especially his family and pets.

A celebration of life will be held on June 8, 2024 in Valley Springs. Please contact Holly at mrshdilly@gmail.com for more information.
