Bear Valley, CA...Join Us "Live" at 10am for the first public meeting and scoping session for the The Draft Environmental impact report for the New Village at Bear Valley. The meeting and scoping session on October 18th at 10am in The Bear Valley Lodge will be led by the Alpine County Planning Department. This document has been over two years in the making. The Village Draft EIR is different from the Forest Service EAR with will cover improvements to the Bear Valley Mountain Resort area. The Draft EIR will cover the New Village Development... The Replay is enclosed...
The proposed developments include a Village Lift that will take riders from the Village to the resort. This will enhance the functionality of the Village and enable Bear Valley to become a World Class Ski In and Ski Out Town. When similar lifts have been installed in towns like Park City Utah for insistence, they paved the way for a significant increase in property values and greatly increased the draw for the area.
Plans are also for a new Village Center and additional condominiums. The new lift will also open up several hundred acres of additional ski terrain for the resort.
