North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who is running for governor of the state, said Saturday on Newsmax that he has not yet gotten a response from the Biden administration concerning the arrest of an immigrant whose name is on the federal terrorism watchlist.
"President [Joe] Biden came to our state. He chose to talk about health care," Robinson, a Republican, said on Newsmax's "America Right Now." "The North Carolina Legislature has already spoken on health care and has done things to make sure that North Carolinians have great health care."
What Biden needs to do, he added, is "step up and do what he's supposed to do, which is protecting the sovereignty of the United States of America by protecting our border, and he's not doing it."
The suspect, Awet Hagos, was arrested in a rural part of the state on charges of resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, and assaulting a public official, reports NBC affiliate WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina.

On Thursday, Deportation officers from Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston apprehended the unidentified 33-year-old Guatemalan national near his home in Lynn, Mass, according to a press release from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

On Saturday, a Haitian illegal immigrant appeared in bond court in Broward County Florida on accusations that he sexually abused a 10-year-old girl and took pictures of it on his cell phone.
According to a Pembroke Park Police arrest report obtained by Local 10, police officers told 37-year-old Nivenson Sarazin, who has a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold, that they had video evidence of the abuse. He then confessed to the abuse admitting that he “lost control” and that he pulled the victim’s pants down and molested her on multiple occasions adding, “I should have just asked for a lawyer.”

Former President Donald Trump said Monday he would “love” to see the family of Ruby Garcia — the 25-year-old allegedly killed by her illegal immigrant boyfriend in Michigan — at his Tuesday rally in the Mitten State.
Garcia, of Grand Rapids, was found dead along a highway with multiple gunshot wounds to her head on March 22. Brandon Ortiz-Vite, 25, later confessed to shooting Garcia in her car, turning himself in to police with blood on his clothes, according to local reports.
Ortiz-Vite said he shot Garcia after they had an argument, and he subsequently moved her body out of the car and drove away, according to local reports citing court documents.
Something President Dementia has never done. The closest Biden ever got to that he mispronounced her name horribly wrong.

"In video from the annual event, Biden was seen on the White House lawn standing next to a man holding a child, and then leaning in next to the child’s head. The young child was seen leaning away as Biden lingered."
This isn’t the first instance of inappropriate behavior by the President towards children at the annual event at the White House.
In 2023, Biden was seen in a similar situation, leaning uncomfortably close to a child being held by an adult.
This comes after Biden’s White House banned religious imagery in the children’s Easter egg design contest.
