Calaveras County Election March 5th Results

San Andreas, CA...With all precincts reporting here are the March 5th election results for Calaveras County.  Results are posted for the night. The next update of results will be posted by 5pm Friday on the Calaveras County Elections webpage. You can view by searching Calaveras County Elections and then clicking on the Election Results icon.

There are roughly 4,500 vote-by-mail ballots yet to be counted. These ballots were picked up from drop boxes, vote centers and received through the mail today.  We will continue counting ballots received through the mail and postmarked by March 5, 2024, through March 12, 2024.

Voters who received letters stating their signature was missing from the yellow return envelope or their signature did not match the voter registration file can return the form to cure through March 18, 2024.

Counting ballots is our top priority. Once all ballots are counted, we will begin the manual hand tally to verify the equipment counted the votes for each contest correctly. The deadline to certify the official results and report to the State is April 4, 2024.

Please contact electionsweb@co.calaveras.ca.us if you would like to receive notifications from the Elections Office.

Look, if Calaveras dummies want to raise their own sales taxes over 13% they certainly have the right to do so.
And raise them over 13% they did!
      Congratulations.
Now.... please whine to me about inflation.
Then... whine to me about unions, health and retirement benefits, etc.
      You're hanging yourselves.
      Enjoy!

We will pay more for firefighters that couldn't make it in real fire departments . We are not getting the cream of the crop folks. The idiots that live in Ebbetts Pass already pay a huge assessment so they can pay their firefighters $100,000 a year plus benifits. Now they want to pay more . so be it

Are you really that blind to what the upper Highway 4 corridor actually is, and was planned to be by their developers? It is a planned enclave for the elder wealthy elite Bay Area and S. California Cities. Started years ago with their developers selling to the aged wealthy thinking they are superior with their large expensive second homes in the Sierra Mountain Trees.

Now they actually live there. They have no mountain living physical or mental skills or knowledge of the dangers, especially for elderly. They were and are complete burden to the rest of the taxpayers of the county.

They alone should be paying for the slaves to take care of them there. Not one of the rest of us with common sense should be taxed to save them from the clueless, lack of common sense that leads to natural selection they all suffer from.

Hopefully Newsom's mentally ill housing bill they have voted in, will force them to house large amounts of uncurable mentally ill in condos and apartments in their elite mountain community. It's funny actually that none of these people, being mentally ill will be able to slave and take care of all the elderly elite that should never be living in the harsher climates in the first place.

The first firemen were volunteers! What do you volunteer besides your opinion?

How about you address how you have taught your strong young children to give back to their communities by volunteering for the greater good.

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, and many other physical youth organizations... Leading today's youth to be mentally and physically active in their communities. NOT just sitting on social media all day.

It is called a work ethic. The greatest need is in the physical work fields...NOT sitting indoors at a desk.

Incomprehensible to fathom the depth of complete ignorance of so many people to even consider looking forward to the repercussions, and understand what dire consequences their vote will have immediately, and into the indefinite future to themselves and everyone else.

****For years now ongoing everyday news flash:**** Massive United States of America, California, Calaveras County budget deficits. Americas credit score dropping. Massive job lay offs. Home and property foreclosures increasing. Increases in dangerous uncurable brain damaged Zombies, illegal aliens and crime organizations free roaming all of California.

It's unconscionable to create new, or raise any taxes, fees, etc. during this great downfall of America that would increase the fallout of hardship and misery for the masses. How could these (winning) voters be so blind to the present situation and actually vote to make it even worse for their fellow neighbors struggling to keep employment, afford taxes, fees, housing and food?

Not one of the 3 taxes voted in will FIX the actual problems. They are all just a smoke and mirrors money bleed of all forced to pay it.
