Laura Timpe 1979 ~ 2024

Copperopolis, CA...Laura Timpe November 21, 1979 ~ January 21, 2024 (age 44).   Laura Suzanne Timpe passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024 in Copperopolis, CA after a long battle with cancer. Laura was born November 21, 1979 in Mountain View, CA to parents Robert and Nan Timpe.

Laura was a loving and protective daughter, sister, and friend. She squeezed as much as she could into the lifetime she was given.

From an early age, Laura was a bundle of energy and spunk with a kind heart. She also loved to laugh and considered herself the comic of the family.

Being diagnosed with dyslexia at an early age was her first challenge, which taught her how to persevere. She successfully navigated through elementary and middle school, high school, and college. Charles Armstrong School, Woodside Priory and St. Mary's College were very special places that she enjoyed staying a part of after graduation, as well as the close friends she made along the way.

Her real passion was food (and wine!). After college, Laura ventured to cooking school in the Napa Valley completing certifications at both Napa Valley Community College and the Culinary Institute of America. She later worked at A.G. Ferrari Foods and then the Marriott Santa Clara where she spent 14 years as a pastry chef, ending her time as a head pastry chef in the banquet kitchen.

The prolific baker at heart, she loved to spoil her friends and family with cookies and treats.

And the apple of her eye was her labradoodle Lola, who was by her side always.

Laura never complained about her cancer diagnosis and took each twist and turn in stride as best she could. Laura had saved this quote:

When you die, it does not mean you lost to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live. - Stuart Scott

Laura is survived by her parents Robert and Nan Timpe, and sister Amy Timpe. Laura was preceded in death by her brother Brett Robert Timpe.

A liturgy mass followed by a graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 7 in Saint Helena, California at 11:00 a.m.
