9:30 A.M.: PUBLIC HEARING/APPEAL/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT/PLANNING
PUBLIC HEARING - APPEAL and possible Board action re: 2007-047 CUP for ROGERS MEDIA. An appeal of the Planning Commission's August 21, 2008 denial of project 2007-047 for a Conditional Use Permit to erect three (3) double faced billboards along Hwy 12, on property located at 1201 Hwy. 12, approximately 1 1/2 miles west of the intersection of Hwy. 12 and Hwy. 26 in Valley Springs. The subject property is currently zoned M2 (General Industrial). A billboard is permitted in the M2 zone with the approval of a Conditional Use Permit. The proposed sign face will measure 16' wide by 8' high for a total of 128 square feet each. The base of the signs will be 14.5 feet above grade, with an overall height of 25 feet to the top of the structure. The sign faces will be supported by a single center column, located 30' from the property boundary line that fronts on Hwy. 12.
