YeeHa for Willie Nelson and Sara Evans ~By Hanna Alldrin
Murphys, CA....YeeHa was the signature chant this Saturday evening at the wonderful concert performance by Willie Nelson and Sara Evans. Sara's classic yet modern sounds matched perfectly with "living legend" sound of Willie Nelson. With the Ironstone Concert Series coming to a summer end, this was a show stopper and one of the most crowded concerts of the series......

Locals and visitors lined all the way to the back of the Ironstone Amphitheater. "What a beautiful audience we have here in Murphys, California," stated Sara Evans. Humor and a spunky sense of adventure are special qualities of Academy awarding winning artist Sara Evans.
Without the support of Sara's family Sara wouldn't be where she is today. Sara's band is made up of family members and friends. Her little sisters Leslie and Ashley sing background and her older brother Matt plays the guitar and co-writes top hits for the band. Sara wowed the audience with her timeless hits “A Real Fine Place to Start,” “No Place That Far,” “Suds In the Bucket,” and “Born to Fly."
Living country legend Willie Nelson kicked on his cowboy boots and took the Ironstone stage for the very first time. The whole audience tapped their feet, swayed their bodies, and opening their ears wide for the timeless sounds of Willie. Willie performed top recordings "Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys,"Red Head Stranger," and "Stardust." His long gray braids and black hat melted many lifelong fans into their seats.
What an honor it was to see a living legend and top country recording artist in concert. The final concert of the summer is on October 4th, with performances by Bonnie Raitt with the Blind Boys of Alabama.
