We just CANNOT get through one year without a major fire. Just awful, and so thankful for all the fire, etc. personnel trying to get this contained. A big thanks to our local fie fighters for helping. Praying for all involved for no injuries..

Log it, graze it, that doesn't make any sense to the liberal Democrats and the environmentalist.
I'm sorry but it's true. We can't do what the Native Americans use to do. The left whines about how bad logging looks, how long it takes for the forest recovers, but it looks better than what happens when a huge fire comes through. Than you have the tens of thousands of animals being burned to death, than the Winter with possibilities of landslides, what happens to any water supply and the silt killing aquatic life.
Definitely much less harm to logging and grazing. Maybe one day those environmentalist, lib/ Dem will wake up with a clear head and see the logic, or if living in the country to see it first hand

The thing about natives burning off land every year is true. But, and a big But, the forests were in much better shape back then. Trees were much more thinned, the brush was not allowed to take over huge swaths of land, and of course climate was not the contributor to fire danger that it is now. And the trees were much more spaced why? Because of fires the natives set in the fall, generally. Now when a fire starts it can turn into a monster much more easily. Therefore we are behind the 8 ball. Have to put everyfire out before it turns into a calamity. We're screwed.
