2,901 PG&E Customers Still Enjoying the Off Grid Life as PG&E Struggles to Bring Ebbetts Pass Grid Up

Arnold, CA...2,901 PG&E Customers Still Enjoying the Off Grid Life as PG&E Struggles to Bring Ebbetts Pass Grid Up. This is not the first 4th of July weekend PG&E has had issues with the increased demand and influx of visitors on our local grid. For us it took three tries for our section to stay on. You could almost feel the grid struggle after it was briefly up as all the generators cycled down and switched their loads back to the grid. First time it was up for 2-3 minutes, second try it stayed up for 5 min. Now it has been up for 10 min or so...

Nope. Blame PG&E shareholders and management who were happy to build up their IRAs and stock portfolios rather than work on needed infrastructure. Visitors and second home owners also bring badly needed money to the community, a majority of businesses would not survive without.

You can believe that all you want, but do not think the rest of us are fooled by your self serving mouth of full of sheet.

A business here that can not survive is not stocking items or services that the local residents actually need.

You only bring strife to out communities. Our communities are being forced to live with excess traffic, pollution, crime and trash all because of your greedy, selfish, narrow thinking.

Most of us have solar and/or battery back up power sources. You really don't know what you're talking about.

If it's any consolation, much of downtown Sacramento's electricity is out right now too.

I do agree about plugging in the car. We did come up from San Jose, folks had this place for 25 plus years, passed away and my wife inherited. We're fixing it up, not to rent they never did that, but we want to retire in 5 - 8 yrs. Now have to leave earlier than planned so we're not stuck in stop and go traffic. Guess we should of brought the Audi. At least gas is reliable, expensive but better than this BS.
Any other sites up here to get news up here? This one isn't too great, computer guy put it on our home page

Typical liberal who drank the coolaid. What did you think would happen when all of you idiots bought electric cars. You are especially special buying an electric car and expecting it to work well up here in the sticks.

Probably thinking similar to yours, buying an 8 mpg truck and whining when gas hits $7 gal. Go ahead, put another $200 in that tank and burn it. Feel better now?

Typical Citidiot thinking. Your little plastic car will not fair well in Foothill/Mountain winter ice and snow weather . We also have beloved twisty country roads not made for freeway auto pilot speeds.

There is an increasing amount of inattentive, out of county speeding drivers converging upon our communities. There is much to be said of the bodily injury safety of a big truck.

Safety and life preservation for intelligent people is worth much more, than wanting attention trying to show off in the latest expensive car.
