Make Plans to Attend the Calaveras Community Band Memorial Day Concert!!

Murphys, CA...The Calaveras Community Band will be playing live at Murphys Park on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. Celebrate and honor those we have lost defending our country. Bring a picnic and listen free to wonderful music!

The Calaveras Community Band traces its history to the days following the Gold Rush. Men would brush away the grime of the mines, put on a uniform, grab their horns and entertain the crowds at many public functions. Creating music brought extra meaning to their lives and provided a counterpoint to the stresses of the day.  In those times we were known as the Angels Camp Miners Band, the Murphys Independent Cornet Band, and dozen other names as the years passed.

The Calaveras Community Band continues with this honored tradition. While most of today's members aren't gold miners, we come from many walks of life. The age range of our group nearly spans a century itself, from 12 - 90 years young. But the spirit remains the same – we are people who love to play, performing for those who enjoy listening.  Music is a very important part of our lives and playing in the band is a magical time.

Event occurs on 05/30/2022 from 06:00 PM to .

Remember the Debacle in Afghanistan, Biden's actions killed 13 US Military Personnel?

Well our Coward In Chief lied again, he let in at least 50 Afghanistan TERRORIST INTO AMERICA. Now the FBI can NOT locate those terrorist, they've disappeared. If only the FBI were like they use to be, instead of the idiots we have today that helped Hillary and the DNC spy on a President. The same FBI who go after parents of school children calling them domestic terrorist, because teachers are telling their children they should feel guilty for being racist, and for trying to change their children's gender while hiding it from the parents.
These terrorist were the ones making bombs, killing Afghanistan's and US Military.
WTG Dementia Joe, feel free to read it knowing your president puts Americans LAST.

Three senior U.S. senators are demanding a briefing from the FBI on dozens of Afghan refugees that were mistakenly let into the United States by the Biden administration despite serious security red flags in their background

The lawmakers are seeking to learn how many of the refugees have been expelled and whether the vetting blunders have been fixed.

Sens. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), Rob Portman (R-Ohio), and James Inhofe (R-Okla.) wrote in a letter released Friday that they are concerned the background check process has not been fixed by the Homeland Security Department and that Americans remain vulnerable.

Just the News reported earlier this year that the Pentagon inspector general concluded that at least 50 Afghan refugees brought to the United States in the aftermath of the bungled U.S. troop withdrawal last August had "significant security" risks in their backgrounds that weren't detected because DOD officials did not check all required intelligence databases.

The watchdog said "significant security concerns" included individuals whose latent fingerprints have been found on improvised explosive devices and known or suspected terrorists. Among the databases that weren't checked was the Defense Department's tactical terrorism data.

More than half of the flagged evacuees could not be immediately located inside the United States, further exacerbating fears.

"DHS' failure to use every database to screen for derogatory information has caused a serious breach of homeland security," Grassley, Portman and Inhofe wrote. "Accordingly, we request that you provide us with information about those evacuees flagged by DOD and steps the FBI has taken to adjudicate their derogatory information, including locating individuals currently within the United States.

"In addition, we would like to know how the FBI is addressing the counterterrorism threat posed by Afghan parolees that have not been screened by DHS against the tactical database

The Pentagon report directly contradicted President Joe Biden's promise last summer that no Afghans fleeing their country during the bungled U.S. exit would be allowed into the United States until they had been aggressively vetted.

"We are conducting thorough ... security screening for everyone who is not a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident," the president said at the time. "Anyone arriving in the United States will have undergone a background check."

But the inspector general cited a series of bureaucratic blunders that kept the Pentagon from fully vetting Afghan refugees who made their way into the continental United States (CONUS).

"We found that Afghan evacuees were not vetted by the National Counter‑Terrorism Center (NCTC) using all DoD data prior to arriving in CONUS," the report said.

"This occurred," the IG explained, "because Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) enrollments were compared against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Automated Biometric Identification System (IDENT) data, which did not initially include all biometric data located in the DoD Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) database and because the DoD's National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) has agreements with foreign partners that prohibits the sharing of some ABIS data with U.S. agencies outside of the DoD."

The senators wrote FBI Director Chris Wray seeking a briefing, saying recent information they received from the Pentagon heightened their concerns that additional refugees are being released into the U.S. without full vetting.

"DOD also indicated that, while DHS continues to parole additional Afghans into the United States, DHS is still not using DOD's tactical database to screen Afghans for derogatory information," they wrote. "Since Afghan parolees are no longer being housed on military bases, DOD no longer has a force protection mandate to carry out the additional screening that would better protect our homeland security
