All three counties have a rich history in gold mining, settlers and agriculture that make this rural area a place where so many people want to visit and live. It's also a place that's full of many events to keep everyone busy, from outdoor adventures, to concerts, to festivals, to farmer's markets and more, you only have to stay home if you want to.
Sarah Garner grew up in Amador County and Sarah Lunsford has been living in Calaveras County for nearly 25 years, almost enough time to be considered a local. The program is filmed at the Calaveras County Public Access TV Studio in San Andreas.

To the wastes of human lives known as Flatlanders:
The first commenter looks like he/she has had enough of Flatlander BS. Just the other day 3 flatlanders came up to Sonora and robbed the Walmart and was caught out by chicken ranch casino. With this and other stupid dumb things flatlanders do I can clearly see why he/she has had enough of Flatlander BS.
Having food on his table? That really has nothing to do with flatlanders coming up here. Just because people come up here doesn't mean without them we can't survive.
I would like however have a chuckle about one of the democrats who some here identify with. Whoopi Goldberg who's on The View. She was very upset about the Supreme Courts decision to look at Roe vs Wade, she was just about yelling say how dare you tell me what the government can do to MY BODY!!! Yet she had no problems having the Governments mandatory vaccines into everyone else's body.
Is that hypocrisy or is that okay because she's a liberal/socialist?
Democrats, they shutdown thousands of small businesses who went bankrupt, shutdown our states, our economy, committed war on law enforcement letting criminals take over and do whatever they please, and not holding them accountable. They've done all of the above for one reason, political reason, all to make our 45th President look bad. Now look what we have, a DISASTER as a president. He's turned our country upside down. His decisions have all been disastrous, torn our country against each other.
Have you noticed now, he calls Trump supporters, MAGA, the most dangerous Group to our country. The reason? Biden has NOT DONE ONE RIGHT THING YET since he took office, so he attacks the other side. He has absolutely nothing at all to say about ANYTHING he's done correctly.
No wonder why he's considered to be Jimmy Carter on LSD. Everything that has gone wrong, he blames someone else, be it Trump or Putin. Remember when his decision killed 13 US Military Personnel, seriously wounding another 18 and his actions alone caused the most single day deaths in Afghanistan? He told everyone, the buck stops with me and he takes full responsibility! The very next sentence, HE BLAMED TRUMP. That's the kind of president the liberal/socialist voted for, the left wing news media protects. It's not only wrong, it's disgustingly Un-American, and the real Americans of our country, the ones who have respect for our Military, our Law Enforcement, our first responders will be taking back our country from the same people who said they would flee our country in another nation invaded. We certainly don't need your kind here, just look what your kind has already done to our country. Don't worry, we'll start to fix everything this idiot of a president has ruined come this November.
In the mean time watch Biden, he has nothing to brag about so what he's going to do is attack others. Also watch how no one in his party will ask for his endorsement, ask him to speak at any rally, because BIDEN IS AS TOXIC AS IS HIS POLICIES. He's the WORST PRESIDENT IN OUR HISTORY.
