A Bit of Moisture in Our Forecast with Snow at Higher Elevations

Arnold, CA...Well we won't call it a storm door opening so how about we call it a storm mail slot? It doesn't look to be enough moisture to end the fire season or put a dent in the drought but we will gladly take it. Forecasts for the West Slope and Mother Lode from the National Weather Service are below...

West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada
Today
Mostly sunny. Highs 57 to 72 higher elevations...70 to 80 lower elevations. Prevailing southeast winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight
Mostly cloudy. Colder. Lows 36 to 51 higher elevations...45 to 59 lower elevations. Prevailing southeast winds up to 15 mph.

Wednesday
Mostly cloudy. At higher elevations, a slight chance of rain showers in the morning, then a chance of rain showers in the afternoon. At lower elevations, a slight chance of rain showers in the afternoon. Highs 46 to 61 higher elevations... 58 to 68 lower elevations. Prevailing southwest winds up to 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph.
