CHP Officer Joseph Boberg Passed Away on September 7th

San Andreas, CA...It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of San Andreas Area California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Joseph Boberg, ID 19557, who passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from complications due to COVID-19.

Officer Boberg, 42, was a 12-year veteran of the Department and was assigned to the CHP - San Andreas Area office. Officer Boberg also served in the CHP’s Monterey and Napa Area offices before transferring into the San Andreas Area office in 2014.

He is survived by his wife Brandy; children, Chase and Cailyn; brother, Jeffrey Jurgens; and parents, Joanna Jurgens and Michael Boberg.

Joe has served the citizens of Calaveras and Alpine Counties since December of 2014 and was loved by all that knew him. We will miss his sense of humor the most. Joe, Rest in Peace.

Survival of the fittest is what all you anti vaxxers say. Can someone please explain why this is posted but not updates on covid cases and deaths? Same with the enterprise. Shame on this County by not releasing numbers on our local news sites. Keep everyone dumb and deaf, only motherlode and union democrat releases updates. Just ridiculous.

How do you know he would want that,? maybe he was against vaccines. Maybe his child brought it home from school? In that case should we not be closing down the schools to keep the children safe?

Why are you assuming he wasn't vaccinated? People have died from the experimental jab.

Feel sorry for this man. Honor him by getting vaccinated- it’s FDA approved now! But most importantly, take you health seriously! Exercise, watch your cholesterol and BP! Because after Covid-19 isn’t a major concern there will be always other things that simply being healthy will be a benefit.
