Two Stabbed Near Heaven for Kids Playground Early this Morning

Sonora, CA...A 24-year-old Jamestown man and a 17-year-old male from Sonora report they were stabbed in the parking lot at 460 Greenley Road early this morning. At approximately 12:09 am, the Sonora Police Department was notified of a medical request for two stab victims at Heaven for Kids Playground on Greenly Road. Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies and Sonora Police Officers arrived shortly after the call and secured the scene.

One victim was treated locally, and the other was transported to a valley hospital for care. Neither victim received life-threatening injuries, and both have since been released from the respective hospitals.

The victims reported to Police that three to four subjects arrived in a black vehicle, possibly a Honda, and assaulted them. According to the victims, the assailants are unknown to them, and the assault was unprovoked. We have minimal information about the suspects or their whereabouts, and we are not releasing any additional details at this point.

We ask that anyone with information regarding this incident call the Police Department at (209) 532-8141.
