Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Received Vaccination
San Andreas, CA...On January 21, 2021, Sheriff DiBasilio and members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office began receiving Covid vaccinations. The Sheriff’s Office is receiving vaccinations to enhance the safety of first responders and the public. Deputy Sheriffs must enter homes during calls for service that include but are not limited to crimes in progress, medical aid calls, assisting paramedics and fire departments. Unfortunately Deputy Sheriff’s must also respond to calls of deceased persons involving unknown circumstances. The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for taking initial death reports.

In addition to the vaccination the Sheriff’s Office is issuing sanitizing products, face coverings and other related items as part of each deputy’s personal protective equipment.
Administrating the vaccination (in the attached photo) to Sheriff DiBasilio is Deputy Sydne Elam. In addition to her regular duties, Deputy Elam is a Tactical EMT for the Sheriff’s Office. To expedite the vaccinations Deputy Elam will be assisting the health department to increase the amount of vaccinations distributed per day.

Oh that’s f—— rich. The Sheriff was openly Covid denying and refusing to enforce the mask mandate to keep our community safe, but he’s first in line to get the vaccine?
What a hypocritical piece of sh-t.

Sheriff is a far better man than you. I'm sure you are just a tiny little jealous man with a big mouth.

400,000 Americans from covid, yet the the Murphys Hotel Bar remains wide open all day with signs out front saying OPEN. We will remember who was part of the solution and who was the problem. BOYCOTT the hotel and do NOT vote for this sheriff.

What a hypocrite! The Sheriff getting the vaccine but refuses to enforce businesses who aren't complying with the Covid orders like The Murphys Hotel and the Cutting Zone in Murphys. These businesses continue to defy the state's order by remaining open when they should be closed.

To be fair, we have the SO running around playing whack a mole taking out illegal pot grows because we lacked the understanding that banning it would only lead to more criminal activity as opposed collecting badly needed revenue. The SO and the county simply do not have the budget to be proactive about COVID. Still, good to see the sheriff finally on board with recognizing the virus is serious and will still be with us for some time.
