The Grads Were Cruising On Grad Night! Video Clip of the Parents and Volunteers Hard at Work is Enclosed
Frogtown, CA...We stopped by the Sober Grad Night preparations at Frogtown on Friday as they were getting ready for the Class of 2008. They had the USS Bret Harte almost ready to sail. The hard working parents & volunteers had assembled an entire cruise ship for the kids to enjoy. They could make a stop at 9 ports in all. The purpose of Sober Grad Night is to keep the teenagers in a safe and chemical free environment, while giving them a fun graduation party at the same time. There have been no deaths or seniors injured in a vehicle accident on graduation night, since this has started....

All graduating seniors in Calaveras County are invited. Yearly, over 90% of the graduating seniors attend this fun filled event.
The 2008 Sober Grad Night’s theme was “Ports of Call” with 9 different ports to visit. The party started following graduation and lasted throughout the night, ending in the early dawn.
Next Stop Calaveras High. We tried to sneak on board in desperate need of a vacation ourselves but were too old! Darn it!
