Dolomite Sandwiched in Overturned Big Rig Collision on Stockton Road

Sonora, CA...On November 2, 2020, at approximately 6:35AM, 37-year-old Seth Stone of Escalon was driving his 2015 Freightliner, while pulling a trailer loaded with Dolomite, southbound on Stockton Road, north of State Route 108 at approximately 40 miles per hour. Mr. Stone approached the intersection of State Route 108 and slowed to approximately 30 miles per hour to make the right turn onto westbound State Route 108. As he was making the turn, his trailer began to lean and overturned onto its left side.

As a result, the truck and trailer slid across the eastbound and westbound lanes of State Route 108, until it came to rest against a dirt embankment on the south shoulder. After the crash, Mr. Stone was able to exit the truck uninjured.

There is one-way traffic control in place due to the eastbound lanes being blocked. Alcohol or drugs are not determined to be a factor in this collision.
