It's going to be a bad fire season, you can already tell. So many small fires that they got a handle on early until we're stretched thin and fighting on multiple fronts. Prayers for our fire fighters and first responders going forward.

Let’s all agree. “All” fire crews and Captains have learned since the butte fire and camp fire. These are now taken very seriously and they are “not” a training session. The last 5 years their approach is, get it out now!!! Wind can be an excuse but they are now earning their paychecks. Thanks to each and everyone of them. Some of them live here and know what can transpire if avasive action and plenty of backup isn’t there. GET IT OUT NOW. Tks.

Actually the firefighters are doing the best that they can with what they have! Elected officials (the Governors office) many years ago eliminated engines and a dozer in this county as well as other location throughout the state. Not a squeak from the public or county supervisors. They were told by since retired (CDF) Calfire chiefs that there would be in time increases in large fatal fires. It fell on deaf ears, so you get what you get.

Not only is smoking dangerous to your health, the second hand smoke is dangerous to everyone else, even if they can't smell it. It's also toxic to our environment, especially when you throw out your cig out the window of your vehicle.
There's a reason most vehicle have an ashtray, please smokers, try using it.

PS Thank you firefighters

Great job getting the fire out! Angels Camp is in need of fire safety updating in clearing property before summer time from property owners. Especially property owners who live out of the area and don't realize how dry the grass is and down trees etc.
