NEWS ALERT.....Injuries at Fair Due to Ride Collapse
Frogtown, CA....We are on scene now at the Calaveras County Fair. There are reports of 2 Severe injuries and 15 minor injuries at fair due to ride failure on the Yo Yo, that just occurred. 2 Medi-Flight Helicopters have landed and ambulances are en route. (Update) This was the first accident of it's type and hopefully the last to affect the fair. We received a phone call from medical personnel with what we considered credible information that one of the injured succumbed on the way to UC Davis. Thankfully this appears not to be the case...
Multiple injury accidents like this one are very tough and chaotic to cover. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and we hope they make a speedy recovery.
