We don't eat raw chicken because it can make us sick. The prevention for getting sick from eating chicken is to cook it.

The preventions for contracting covid are social distancing and masks.

So why are so many people acting like "I never get sick from cooked chicken, so salmonella is a scam!"

The prevention methods work when used. That doesn't mean that they aren't needed. What an illogical conclusion!

/\/\ Ditto! Yep! I always take precaution and I'm staying right here at the house this whole weekend. I have everything that I need! BTW, I guess some folks forget what Memorial Day is all about-Honor! On Monday we all need to take a break from our beer-drinking buddies, put the can or bottle down, get off the beach towel and sit up, stop the boat, stop the skiing, take a moment at the car races, take a break from the picnic or campsite, and other things, and honor or fallen heroes in a moment of silence. We also need to teach the younger generation-our kids to so they know!

Oh no! One case of the virus. What are we going to do? We need to wear double masks and gloves. Stay 12ft apart. Stay inside your house and hope that you have dual pane windows. We wouldn't want the virus to penetrate through the windows. Wash your hands for 2 mins. This one case could ruin Tuolumne County.

Nope-don't bring it over here! The BOS have enough problems here especially with another spike in crime that will start after next year's marijuana crops! (too late for this year nothing has been approved yet.)

And I bet you're the type who is very defiant towards anything suggested like these guidelines! I feel very sorry for you whoever you are. Frankly I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It's your bad if you don't like to heed to suggestions like most of us are! Take my advice son since I've been around quite a few more years than you have obviously!

Smart and careful people normally stay away as much as possible from others during cold and flu season. No difference here really. As for those who fight to be in big groups of music, drinking or other events let them have at it. We are thinning the herd and hopefully stopping some without critical thinking skills from procreating more problems with their lack of any intelligence genes.

BTW, how many people in our counties got the flu the last couple of months? I'm tired of acting like I'm going to die if I do any outdoor activity. The fact is, we could all die tomorrow from a meteor, nuclear bomb, earthquake, Martians and who knows what else. Should we just hide in our basement until Amazon runs out of food?

Please understand, Covid-19 is much worse than the flu. The symptoms are absolutely horrible and often require hospitalization for healthy people. This isn't "just the flu". If you're not worried about getting Coronavirus, worry about the fact that Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties don't have the emergency infrastructure for an outbreak...
