Touching Rescue of 74 Year Old Man by Local Search & Rescue Teams in Mariposa County

Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept..."On Friday, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team was among many teams called out to help Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office with the search for 74-year-old missing person, John Van Dinther. John was found on Saturday after being missing for several days. The pictures depict TCSO SAR members comforting John when they found him.

We would like to give a huge shoutout to our SAR team and volunteers that give countless hours to this community and surrounding communities. The difference you all make is undeniable.

A SAR member quote embodies the feeling each team member had the moment John was found, “The joy in his eyes........ was worth all the hard work.”

You are truly a monster. May you never know this kind of worry (or even loss) of a loved one. Guessing, though, there aren't many who would call you that.
