Calaveras Lumber to Host "Friends of Ingrid Ludgren" Fundraiser this Saturday April 19th
Angels Camp, CA...Calaveras Lumber of Angels Camp is hosting a "Friends of Ingrid Lundgren" Spring Gala Fundraiser, this Saturday April 19th from 10am~3pm at the Lumber Yard. This will be a Family Fun Day with activities for everyone. Dunk Mike Fulloway, Owner of Calaveras Lumber, Mechanical Bull Riding, BBQ, Kids Bouncy Castle, Silent Auction and Raffle Prizes. Ingrid Lundgren has been fighting colon cancer for the last 4 years. She has recently been hospitalized due to complications and is now back in the hospital again with double pneumonia. Ingrid has worked in the lumber and retail hardware business in Tuolumne and Calaveras County for over 20 years.....
She worked at Andy's in Sonora for many years and joined the Calaveras Lumber family two years ago. When Ingrid was first hospitalized at the end of February, a group of employees came together to organize a fundraiser to help offset the costs of battling this disease. The employees also donated over 250 hours of their sick time benefits for when she was able to return to work.
"Ingrid has touched many peoples lives and giving back to her is our desire" says Ellen Hoover, General Manager.
The event will be held at Calaveras Lumber's truck yard area. We will be providing a BBQ of hamburgers, hotdogs, and BBQ beef, sodas, waters, salads, chili beans for $7.50 per meal. Much of the food is being donated by Sierra Foods, Angels Food Market, and Save Mart of Angels Camp. In additional, they will have a Silent Auction (golf packages from our local golf resorts), 5 nights at the Hilton Kaui Beach Resort, 2 hour plane ride over Yosemite for 4...to name a few! A $1,000 Cash Raffle....tickets are $10 each which are on sale at Calaveras Lumber now and the day of the event. They will also have a Dunk Tank to dunk the owner of Calaveras Lumber, Mike Fulloway.
Their employees are donating their time to staff and plan the event.
