Calaveras Adopting Voter’s Choice Act
San Andreas, CA...The Registrar of Voters has opted to adopt the Voter’s Choice Act Election Model. The draft Election Administration Plan (EAP) was released on August 9th. The EAP outlines the county’s proposal on how to facilitate an All-Mail/Vote Center election and the various changes in policy and procedure that accompany the transition. Consultations and informational meetings were held in August related to the Voter’s Choice Act. A public comment period for the first draft of the EAP ends September 12, 2019, and a public hearing to consider the proposed EAP will be held on September 13, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.
Important Dates:
September 12, 2019- Public comment period ends for first draft EAP
September 13, 2019- 10:00 a.m. Public hearing to consider proposed EAP, located in the Cheseborough Room of the San Andreas Library at 1299 Gold Hunter Rd. San Andreas, CA 95249.
September 13, 2019- Post amended EAP
September 27, 2019- Public comment period ends
September 30, 2019- Adopt final amended EAP plan
