Update on Watsonville Man Shot at Deadman Campground

Kennedy Meadows, CA...During the investigation into the shooting at Deadman Campground, Detectives learned two years ago to the day, 36-year-old Timothy Smith was arrested and charged in San Mateo County with indecent exposure, annoy or molest a minor, and attempted kidnapping. Smith attempted to enter a tent occupied by children at a State Park Campground and engaged in a confrontation with the parents. Smith was arrested and later pled guilty to a charge of engaging in lewd conduct in public. The circumstances between these two cases were found to be eerily similar.

There have been no arrests at this time. The completed case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review at the conclusion of this investigation.

Earlier Updates...

The man shot at the Deadman Campground on July 11th has been identified as 36-year-old Timothy Edward Smith of Watsonville. Next of kin has been notified. As soon as additional information is available for release our office will issue a follow up press release.

Update on Death of Watsonville Man in Shooting Near Kennedy Meadows

Kennedy Meadows, CA...Update from the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept...Friday at 1000 AM: The preliminary Investigation into yesterday’s shooting at Deadman’s campground in the Stanislaus National Forest was completed early yesterday evening. Reports indicate that a man and his girlfriend were asleep in their tent when an unassociated 36-year-old Watsonville man entered their tent at approx. 2:00 AM. The woman woke up to the Watsonville man on top of her. The woman yelled to wake up her boyfriend who was next to her in the tent. During the ensuing confrontation, the Watsonville man was shot, causing his death.

Investigators are working closely with the District Attorney’s office on this case. No arrests have been made.

One of our local MAGA racists should warn Trump he cannot come out here and grab p-ssy or molest children, as he is accustomed to. Out here the pervert might be shot.

Justice was served, sad for the person who was not given a choice to be the one serving the justice, but the state of Calmexico failed again to protect it's citizens from scum, even though it is it's responsibility to do so......

The parents who breed and then dump their mentally ill spawn on the rest of us should be held responsible. The parents need to be made to keep them at home or pay to put them in an asylum. We need to band together and demand the dysfunctional mentally ill are removed from the general public. They cannot be allowed to blindside others anymore, there are just too many of them.

There is no help for the mentally handicapped. The trump administration is trying to take away America’s health care.

Just another example, once you screw up bad we shouldn't give them another chance. More often than not those who commit these terrible crimes are repeat offenders or they have demonstrated their capabilities to commit these crimes before. It's not Trump, it's bad parenting and the fact that so many people use drugs starting with pot and going on to worse, wake up! Some people just need to be put away!

Drugs (of all kinds) are the root to so much evil in this world and soft judges and bleeding heart democrats certainly don't help. There are bad people in this world that need to be dealt with. This guy was dealt with thank God!f He won't be doing this kind of stuff again.
