Get Your Garden Growing at the Master Gardener's Spring Plant Sale!

San Andreas, CA.....Spring is here and every gardener is excited about working in their garden, sprucing it up after the winter storms, and adding new plants to their landscape. Perfectly timed, to find just the right plant for that certain spot, is the Master Gardeners' Spring Plant Sale taking place on Friday, April 25 from 4 -6 pm and Saturday, April 26 from 10 am to 2 pm (rain or shine) in the demonstration garden located at the Government Center at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas......




Hundreds of plants, including many interesting and unusual varieties, will be for sale. A sampling of the plants available include: heirloom tomatoes, unusual vegetables, herbs, California natives, ornamental grasses, daylilies, heritage roses, cold-hardy succulents, rock garden plants and house/patio plants. Many perennials, trees, and shrubs will be available along with a new sale item this year called a "Garden in a Bag". Each bag contains seeds suitable for a 100 sq. ft. vegetable garden offered in an Italian, Asian or Spanish theme.

Gardening education will also be featured at the sale. Master gardeners assisting with the plant sale will answer your questions about which plant is right for your area and how to properly care for the plants you take home. General gardening questions will be answered at the information table where free reference cards with tips on dealing with garden pests will be given out.

This sale is a major fundraiser for Master Gardeners with all proceeds supporting education programs and maintenance of the Demonstration Garden. The garden has been under construction for several years with all funding coming from Master Gardeners, UC Cooperative Extension, grants, and private donations.
