Calaveras County Releases General Plan Update Final EIR

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Planning Department is pleased to announce the release of the long-awaited Final Environmental Impact Report for the General Plan update. The FEIR has been posted on the Department website: http://planning.calaverasgov.us/GP-Update. Hard copies and CDs will be available for purchase at the Planning Department office once printing has been completed during the week of April 15-19. A copy for public review will also be available during the normal business hours of the Department, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The FEIR is a lengthy document at 625 pages. It consists of four sections: an introduction and list of commenters on the Draft EIR, responses to comments, revisions to the DEIR text, and a mitigation monitoring and reporting program. The revisions to the DEIR include recommended changes to the general plan policies and implementation measures as mitigation to identified environmental impacts.

The County anticipates beginning adoption hearings with the Planning Commission in May. Hearing dates will be posted on the County’s website when firm dates are established.

Actually, Ali doesn't really care if she is "black balled" from the CE and I can survive on my own. I'm not like some people I know-like the guy who is stuck on one of Rebecca's teats-mama's boy! I ain't trippin' and I really don't give a flying "F" what you say!

I could agree with you but we would both be wrong. For at little over a $100 a year we get great fire and emergency protection which is badly needed given all the fire dangers around Ebbetts Pass.

We'll put some yellow tape around your place and keep emergency personnel away from your place. There hasn't been an increase for the fire district in a long, long time but imagine you still expect quality services not to mention a qualified EMT and adequately equipped vehicle arriving when you or a loved one calls.

If the Supes follow Merita and try to regulate before General Plan is firmly in place, collectively they put county in bad place for multiple lawsuits like multiple other counties going through litigation for not finishing GP. Oops.

They might want to consider lock-step following her or taking her recommendations seeing what a mess she caused before. Who couldn't pass a General Plan in 22 years? C-a-l-l-a-w-a-y.

The General Plan EIR is separate and not applicable to the EIR that is required should the BOS continue to decide to regulate. They cannot modify or cannibalize the old UO EIR. Uh-oh. Here goes another year or more.
