DUI & Felony Evading Charges for Copperopolis Man Arrested after Pursuit

Jamestown, CA...On 02/01/2019, at approximately 1:14 am, Officers Dillon and Mahaney were conducting a traffic stop for unsafe speed and weaving on a white, 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup on State Route 120, east of Yosemite Junction. While speaking with the driver, later identified as 47 year old Copperopolis resident, Benjamin Beck, Officer Mahaney observed signs of alcohol intoxication. As Officer Mahaney questioned Mr. Beck about his alcohol consumption, Mr. Beck accelerated away and continued driving eastbound on State Route 120 reaching speeds of 70-75 MPH. Mr. Beck lost control of the Silverado, spinning out of control near the intersection of State Route 120 and Enterprise Road. Mr. Beck continued driving eastbound on State Route 120. The officers resumed the pursuit. Due to his unsafe speed for a sharp curve in the roadway, Mr. Beck was unable to maintain control of his vehicle crossing over the westbound lane, and off onto the north shoulder.

The Silverado overturned and Mr. Beck immediately exited and began running eastbound from the vehicle. Officer Mahaney chased Mr. Beck on foot as Officer Dillon detained the uninvolved passenger, 30 year old Groveland resident, Anthony Ewen. Officer Mahaney took Mr. Beck into custody.

Mr. Beck was subsequently booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration of .08% or greater, felony evading a police officer, and obstructing or delaying a peace officer. Mr. Beck’s bail was set at $50,000.

You bet! Gavin Newsom is doing a great job ensuring he'll win a run for the Presidency, once he runs, sometime in the next decade. The key to all of this is making sure as many people possible who'll vote for him arrive from everywhere - no need to come in legally! They just need to come right in, come one, but preferrably all, to Gavin Newsom's decreed Sanctuary State of California.

He made it against the law for all local law enforcement agencies statewide to mess with his future voters, I mean, "undocumented migrants". What I mean is, illegal aliens are not, under any circumstances, to be given over to federal authorities (ICE/Border Patrol) for deportation.

And Gavin Newsom is enticing more illegals to flood in by offering them FREE medical benefits on top of all of the social benefits they get that we all pay for. This offer is not available for our senior citizens or our veterans. Most of these will not be voting for Gavin Newsom when he eventually runs for President, so they don't matter to him.

What does matter to Gavin Newsom is making sure he fights Trump against the building of a border walland cracking the whip against municipalities like Huntington Beach. They need to get their act together and fast track the massive building of new housing units. Also of importance to Gavin Newsom is overturning prop 13.

Once, California's budget surplus is depleted, home owners will have to step up to the plate by having their properties reassessed so they'll pay property at their property's current value. The money to pay to support illegal aliens medical care and other "free" enticements must come from somewhere.

Gavin Newsom already said the option is on the table. Yeah, he'll overturn prop 13, if necessary. Given that it's mathematically impossible to give out free stuff to illegal aliens without running out of money , it's a given that prop 13 will need to be overturned.

Officially, he's doing it for us, to reduce the cost of housing by reducing the price raising demand with more supply. That additional housing supply, however, will be fully absorbed by everyone coming in illegally, at the request of Governor Gavin Newsom.

The millions that will pour in will all the need a place to live. Gavin Newsom knows it. The massive new housing construction he's bullying local municipalities into building isn't for you or I, to make our lives easier.

The new housing is for accomodating the others coming in, needed to vote for Gavin Newsom at some point in the future for a landslide presidential victory. If California resembles the third world, it's for a good cause. Gavin Newsom appreciates your many sacrifices.

Benjamin Beck would agree with Gavin, he is the chair of The Copperopolis Democrat Partys.

An alcohol screening device registered a blood-alcohol level of .378 percent, police said.
“He was over four time the legal limit of .08 percent,” the statement said. “To put this in perspective, the medical profession states, ‘A range of .35 percent to .40 percent usually represents potentially fatal alcohol poisoning.'”

Alcohol is a terrible mistress. She will always whisper bad advice - that no one will notice, it's okay to drive or you can run away from the cops or reality. Addiction also affects all demographics so hardly limited to "white trash" as commented. There are plenty of Cab sippers who open a bottle or two of wine every night.

Pine Tree shows mug shots if and when they can get that info. Some of you folks don't know about these laws and local LE agency policies. Yes there is such a thing as public information and yes there are such things as right to privacy so there you have it. So think and make sure your facts are right before you start to "diss" John. After all he's providing a free on line news service for all of us in the 4 counties. Give the guy a break. I know kids who are 5 years old who act more grown up than some of you.

You nailed it. Like on MML the Democrat in Sonora arrested for lewd acts with a child, they show his mug shot. Another disguting Hillary and Bill supporter who will be going to prison for a long, long time
