Structure Fire in Angels Camp ~By Hanna Heath
Angels Camp, CA….A structure fire has been reported at 1104 Bragg Street in Angels Camp. Angels Camp Fire Department was first on scene with three engines; engine 211,212, and 213. Angels Camp, Altaville Melones, Murphys, and San Andreas fire were all departments dispatched. All engines were released except for Angels Camp Fire and one engine from Altaville Melones. “Erik Alldrin and Dennis Brower were the first firefighters on scene with engine 211 and were able to extinguish the fire from the deck,” shared Assistant Chief Terry Bullock.....
The fire was knocked down within 33minutes, the time from the official dispatch to the release of all engines. The fire was caused by a burn pile that got out of control due to high winds. Home owners were able to delay the fire with a personal garden hose.
The fire spread to the back deck, but fire personal were able to save the structure from any major damage. The fire is OUT at this time.
Great job, Angels Camp Fire Department.
