Dead trees are falling across Sheep Ranch Road, Murphys in the wind. Who owns? Whose responsibility before someone is killed? Meanwhile, we local are clearing a path for vehicles.

If you drove faster it would just fall behind you. Who is responsible? If a tree falls and hits your neighbors house it is called an act of God. Do you think God is responsible? Normally if it damages your property your insurance pays.

A lot of land along the road is apparently owned by absentee owners, property willed to children who are not from the area. It's a valid question.

Large swaths of this road and elsewhere in Calaveras not necessarily with neighbors. Who are the neighbors when there is not a house or barn to be seen for miles?

The trees are falling across roadways. I imagine PW will have to come and you and all of us will in the end pay. Public safety being the operative phrase.
