Two Days of MET Team Marijuana Eradications

San Andreas, CA...Over the past two days, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team has served several search warrants for illegal marijuana cultivation. On 8-8-18 Sheriff’s Deputies served search warrants at adjoining properties in the 6000 block of Fullen Road near Murphys. Three subjects were initially detained upon arrival and deputies found illegal marijuana cultivation spanning across the two properties. 647 marijuana plants were eradicated and approx. 93 pounds of marijuana in various stages of processing were seized. One subject, John Le (age 42 of San Jose) was arrested for 11358H&S-illegal marijuana cultivation, 11359H&S-possess marijuana for sale, and 11366H&S-maintain a drug house. He was booked into the Calaveras County Jail.

On 8-9-18 Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant at a property in the 100 block of Railroad Flat Road in Railroad Flat. No subjects were located on arrival but deputies found evidence that approximately 4,000 marijuana plants had recently been hastily harvested leaving behind partial plants. Deputies eradicated an additional 2,309 marijuana plants from this location.

These cases are still under investigation. No further information is available at this time.

Primarily one realtor out of Murphys made a living these past few years selling land to growers. Some are good people who wanted to abide by county guidelines and register, others are not. I guess at the end of the day and after you get your commission check, you don't much consider the difference.

It has to be that way when the good ones brought a flood of the bad ones. We always had some growers. Then with temporary regulation, so many. It doesnt work here in a county that is too parched in areas where they grow. Take a good look at this picture with the chemicals. Does that District 3 candidate think she can pretend we don't notice her adding more growing in more residential areas in District 3.?

Well, of course, that's not likely and the poster being facetious. Still, it's upsetting to think that a local person would not consider more far reaching consequences to the community.

Quit moralizing things that are beyond your mental grasp.

No matter whom the realtor you're speaking of, he or she has no duty to any of you regarding his/her assessing/judging the suitability of any prospective purchaser(s).

Not up to ANY realtor to impose said realtor's morality on any one else. Ever. For any reason. End of discussion.

If you disagree, please go seek life in Texas.

That's crap. We're not discussing morals. It's a realtor's responsibility divulge that a property cannot be used for an intended purpose. Malpractice?

You are correct that a Realtor is, by law, obliged to serve clients no matter what they may do for a living. However, if a Realtor has knowledge that a purchase is using what would be considered under federal law, illegal funds, they are obligated to let the title company know since title companies are not allowed to assist in laundering money. And any Realtor selling land where pot was grown or that is next to land where it is grown is to disclose that to the buyer.

What you're saying is that the sellers of these properties are now according to your standards and expertise must be, discriminatory, be socially prolific
and psychic? Sure that works. Take some responsibility for once, all you pine nutters just sit around blaming everyone and everything for certain issues like old ladies sitting around a table for brunch. But in the end, what comes of it...nothing. Blame yourselves, bunch of whining old hags sewing quilts. Find a hobby nutters, do something for the community that's useful. Til then you're all a waste of air and resources.

Discriminatory is an advocate's go-to word, when he/she wants to pivot or not own up to any illegal activity. I love how they throw out words like "racist" or "lying" or "hate" when actually they just can't take responsibility for their own stuff. Transparent as can be

I don't think so although it's possible others forewarned. The Sheep Ranch Road/Esmeralda Rd, Murphys eradication was highly publicized including here. All kinds of agency uniforms were in the area and the helicopter was flying overhead. It wouldn't take a genius to know you were next just another mile up the road, if that.
