    Proponents May Examine Petition

If a petition is found to be insufficient by the elections official, the proponents whose names are listed on the notice of intention must be allowed to examine the petition signatures in order to ascertain which signatures were disqualified and the reasons therefor. This right of examination is not otherwise available to proponents or to the public in general. If the proponents examine the petition signatures, the examination must begin not later than 21 days after certification of insufficiency.

Thank you Supervisor Mills for your great and honorable service to a community that is less than worthy often times. You rise above the neurotic chatter and remain steadfast in your integrity and your commitments. Thank YOU!! Thank YOU!!

Yes, thank you for lying about the environmental practices of regulated cannabis farmers who paid taxes, were good neighbors, and, in the tradition of no good deed goes unpunished, were victimized by the lies of Dennis Mills and the culture war *bleep*s who support his attack on property rights, honesty, and decency.

Dennis Mills IS our Dist 4 Supervisor...
Posted on: 2018-07-11 20:17:00   By: Anonymous

And he has done exactly what the committed voters of District 4 elected him to do! Nice to know that the petition gatherers collecting signatures in places they shouldn't have, telling lies about what they represented, and with piss poor knowledge about the way elections work, FAILED! When are you potheads going to figure it out? Every pro-marijuana election has failed here. Measure C wasn't a mandate, it was an insurance policy against the off chance D passed, we sure as hell wanted you idiots taxed to the hilt. Cannabis Cliff lost, your pothead candidate Bowersox in Valley Springs lost, every lawsuit you filed has lost or been tossed out. Cut your losses and go to Humboldt or somewhere that wants you. There are resources to fight illegal grows. We can clean up this county.

The majority of the good citizens of Calaveras County do not want pot growers and dealers in our county! Drive them out, they have certainly proven they are not good honest business people and are certainly lousy neighbors!

Lovely to see all the hate directed at legal cannabis growers for supplying a market the citizens of this state have deemed legal twice over twenty years. Calaveras will be a prohibition island of ignorance, failed governance, failed tax base, declining population, just so the haters can have their way ... for a little while longer. Eventually though, Calaveras will join the 21st century. David Kevin Sweet

Actually Calaveras is not an island. Hundreds of other jurisdictions in California have banned commercial growing and other aspects of the marijuana industry as they are incompatible with residential uses and good public health policy. Unfortunately, drug addiction clouds ones ability to distinguish good policy from bad. Marijuana may have helped the economy of a handful of druggies, supplemented their welfare checks nicely, but in the big scheme of things it didn't provide a boon to the county. Last week, state tax liens were filed against 2 dispensaries......they don't pay their taxes!
