Major Injures To Elderly Jamestown Woman When She Hit Accelerator Instead of Brakes

Jamestown, CA...On Thursday, May 17, 2018, at approximately 2:32 pm, 88 year old Jamestown resident, Gina Vernazza, was driving a 2006 Ford, traveling eastbound in her driveway of her residence at approximately 5 mph. When she attempted to stop her vehicle, Vernazza missed the brake pedal and instead hit the accelerator. The Ford accelerated rapidly forward and traveled through a fence and down a dirt embankment. Vernazza was unable to regain control of her vehicle and subsequently struck the rear of a residence on Johnny Drive.

The Ford's airbags deployed as a result of the collision, but Vernazza was not wearing a seat belt. Vernazza sustained major injuries and was flown to Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. Air bags are not designed to replace seat belts, they are to supplement lap and shoulder restraints to help limit head and chest injuries. If a passenger or driver is not fully restrained, they may contact the air bag before it is fully inflated, and may sustain serious or fatal injuries. Fatal injuries have been reduced by 11% to drivers in an automobile collision in which an air bag has been deployed and hospital injury claims have been reduced by 24%.

“Around 1980 Clyde Clapp obtained permits to build two garages on property in Rancho Calaveras.
Instead, he built two unpermitted home. Those homes did not have a properly permitted and functioning septic system.
Because the septic systems were not functional, raw sewage was discharged from the homes and was allowed to run down the street and the drainage ditches. Clyde Clapp ignored these obvious safety hazards along with the notices of violation sent by the County.
For more than fifteen years he continued collecting rent on these homes while refusing to correct the situation.
Clyde Clapp was finally called before the Planning Commission for a violation hearing. At that hearing, he was ordered to correct the violations and was fined $50,000 per home.
To my knowledge this fine was never paid, these violations were never corrected by Mr. Clapp, and I believe the debt to the County was discharged in a bankruptcy action.
Before you vote for this man, you should ask yourself if you want a person like that representing you as your County Supervisor. How can you trust someone to uphold the county, state, and federal laws when he refuses to follow them himself? He has shown obvious disregard for the public health. He has no respect for the environment. He is not financially responsible. He only cares about his bottom line. District Five deserves better than that.
Thank You.

Terri Bailey
Former 5th District Supervisor
Calaveras County”

Hey smart-guy those little lines before and after the first post are called “quotes”. People use them when there quoting someone else.

Soooo, you are saying someone is quoting Ms. Bailey, or is Ms. Bailey quoting someone? I only see one quotation mark at the beginning, leading me to believe that it was a typo. Also, the person being quoted should be credited. The credit is not presented to look like a signature to the above phrase!

So was it you trying to quote Ms. Bailey? If so where can we find her original quote? A source is the only thing that could make this credible now, since you are saying it is not her posting here.

In the picture, snapped in the darkness of a Wilton vineyard, Jack Kautz crouches behind a dead buck, smiling as he holds up the animal's head by its freakishly large set of antlers.

It was a buck for the record books with sprawling antlers about an arm's width apart. If Katuz 52, had been had been able to claim it is a official trophy, he could have added it to his long list of accomplishments detailed on the website of his family's Lodi grape growing business, Ironstone Vineyards.

Mr. Sierra Sentinel you are a very nasty, vile and crude person. Go back to school you ignorant fool. You can't even type, spell, or punctuate, so you should not be here. Your crass and vile language is repugnant, it takes away from anyone ever listening to a word you try to type.
