Election Department Legal Notice

San Andreas, CA...LEGAL NOTICE: Dates for issuing nominations for the June 5, 2018 Statewide Direct Primary Election are as follows: Nominations for all Candidates - filing fee must be paid at this time: Opens: February 12, 2018 Closes: March 9, 2018 Extension Period: March 14, 2018 - if incumbent does not file for re-election; the deadline is extended for all except incumbent




For the County Offices listed below the number of nomination signatures required is 20 to 40 valid signatures.
The following is a list of the County Offices that will be up for election, and the required filing fee:

Auditor-Controller,$1,075.57

Treasurer-Tax Collector,$1075.57
Coroner-Public Administrator,$600.08

Only registered voters that are qualified to vote for the candidate may sign the nomination form. Nomination forms may be obtained from the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, during regular office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, phone: (209)754-6376.

Offices to be voted upon statewide are: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Controller, Treasurer, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner, Board of Equalization 1st District, United States Senator, United States Representative 4th District, Member of State Senate 8th District, Member of State Assembly 5th District, and Superintendent of Public Instruction. Information on procedures to become a candidate for state offices may be obtained by calling the Secretary of State's Office at (916)657-2166.
