Angels Camp, CA...Elsie May Hebenstreit. Elsie was born February 2, 1932 in Murphys, California and lived her entire life in Calaveras County. She passed away on November 3, 2017 in San Andreas, California with her family at her side. At the time of her death she resided in Angels Camp, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert Elias Hebenstreit. She is survived by her only son, Walter Robert Hebenstreit of Angels Camp, CA. and her grand- children Dean Hebenstreit (Lori) of Elk Grove, CA and Carly Saunders (Kris) of Elk Grove, CA. She had 4 great grandchildren, Abigail and Cade Hebenstreit and Cody and Kacie Saunders. She is also survived by her sister, Blanche Bardsley Merian of Linden, CA. and many nieces and nephews.

Elsie enjoyed taking road trips and visited almost every interesting area in the State of California. She was able to take her final trip to the Sierras this year to enjoy the fall foliage. She was also an avid gardener and maintained her own large yard well into her 80’s.

She was a quiet person who enjoyed her friends and loved her family and she will be missed by each and every one of them. Graveside services will be held at the family plot in Buena Vista Cemetery, Murphys, CA at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Captain Anthony Albasio Memorial Fund, 768 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, Ca 95249.
