Trick or Treaters Were Fine But Flashlight to the Head Renders Man Unconscious

Soulsbyville, CA...Last night, Deputies responded to the 20000 block of Willow Springs Drive near the old Willow Springs market for a report of an unconscious man in the roadway. The caller believed the man had been hit by a vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and found a 28-year-old man laying in the roadway unconscious. Based on witness statements, the 28-year-old man had confronted a 19-year-old man for revving his vehicle's engine. The 28-year-old man punched the 19-year-old through the open driver side window.

A 36 year old man witnessed the altercation and said he stepped in to separate them and he himself was then assaulted. The 36 year old man claims he struck the 28-year-old man with a flashlight in self defense.

The 28-year-old was mediflighted out of the area to a hospital for treatment and the extent of his injuries and condition are unknown at this time.

Deputies are still gathering information and details regarding the incident. No arrests have been made at this time as this case remains under investigation.
