Major Injuries to Twain Harte Woman in Tuolumne Road Hit & Run
Twain Harte, CA...Ms. Porta was traveling southbound on Tuolumne Road North in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. An unknown dark colored pickup truck was traveling northbound ahead of Ms. Porta. For an undetermined reason, the trailer being pulled by the dark colored pickup truck swung into the southbound lane and collided with the Jeep driven by Ms. Porta. Following the collision, the dark colored truck fled the scene. A witness indicated that the truck returned to the scene shortly after the collision and then fled again.
Witness described the truck as black or dark blue with a small lift and big wheels. The trailer was carrying a salvaged dark green Toyota 4-Runner. If anyone has anyone information regarding the driver of the pickup truck or the salvaged Toyota, they are encouraged to contact the Sonora CHP office in Jamestown. The driver of the pickup is also encouraged to call and provide as statement in order to give their side of the story.
