Glen Travis Campbell 1936-2017

Nashville, TN....The Campbell family has released the following on Campbell's death..."It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and legendary singer and guitarist, Glen Travis Campbell, at the age of 81, following his long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Glen is survived by his wife, Kim Campbell of Nashville, TN; their three children, Cal, Shannon and Ashley; his children from previous marriages, Debby, Kelli, Travis, Kane, and Dillon; ten grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara, Sandra, and Jane; and brothers John Wallace “Shorty” and Gerald.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glen Campbell Memorial Fund at BrightFocus Foundation through the CareLiving.org donation page.

A personal statement from Kim Campbell will follow.

The family appreciates your prayers and respect for their privacy at this time."

Great singer. I enjoyed his hits in the 60's and 70's. It is too bad that he had an alcohol and drug problem as this could have caused his dementia.

Wonderful entertainer who gave us all much,
Some people don't know Glen Campbell played guitar on the Beach Boys’ ‘Pet Sounds’ album and toured with them for a few month in 1964/65.
May god bless you and your family Glen

Well alcohol is the gateway to harder drugs.
Though we should all look on the bright side of this very talented man, not what his vises may of been.
Thanks for all the great music Glen
    Rest In Peace

What a struggle he and his family had with this horrible disease - for all of their well being it is a blessing that he is finally back on the other side and healthy once again..
