Explore Omaha and Utah Beaches with The National WWII Museum's D-Day Tour

New Orleans, LA...The National WWII Museum today announced new dates for its most popular tour: D-Day – The Invasion of Normandy & Liberation of France. Taking place from September 14 through 20, and again September 21 through 27, this spectacular tour itinerary will provide guests with an in-depth exploration of the sites key to America's most famous WWII battle. Offering a full week of touring in Normandy, the Museum's signature tour offers great value and features top guides, superior accommodations in prime locations, comprehensive dining and exclusive access to sites unseen on other programs.

The Normandy tour will begin where the first shots of the invasion were fired – at a few minutes after midnight on June 6, 1944 – by British troops at the crucial Pegasus Bridge. Guests will tour the British and Canadian sectors and then explore Arromanches, famous for the remains of a "Mulberry Harbor." The group will also make a trip up the commanding bluff where the well-known German gun emplacements at Longues-sur-Mer are located.

The tour's itinerary also includes the unique opportunity to visit Sainte-Mère-Église, where paratroopers landed during the predawn hours of D-Day. The following morning, guests will begin at Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach, with visits to Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer and Vierville-sur-Mer, which provide a close-up view of the intricate German defense system and give a sense of the overwhelming odds the American soldiers faced on that first day.

With additional stops at Utah Beach, the Musée Airborne, the D-Day museum at Mémorial de Caen and the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, this D-Day tour is for both the academic and the amateur historian in search of the most authentic experience of Normandy as it was. Quaint, upscale, historic accommodations are matched with regional cuisine, affordability and experiences found nowhere else.

Pricing for the D-Day tour is $3,999 per person based on double occupancy, which reflects a $1000 per couple early booking discount when reserved by May 8, 2017. For a detailed itinerary, testimonials and registration information, visit http://www.ww2museumtours.org or call 877-813-3329 Ext 257.

The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world – why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today – so that future generations will know the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn. Dedicated in 2000 as The National D-Day Museum and now designated by Congress as America's National WWII Museum, it celebrates the American Spirit, the teamwork, optimism, courage and sacrifices of the men and women who fought on the battlefront and served on the Home Front. For more information, call 877-813-3329 or 504-528-1944 or visit nationalww2museum.org.

I don't think I'd want to go for free. It would be heart breaking to visit were so many brave men had died. They died for our freedom and for the freedom of many, who don't think twice of spewing hatred for our President and the job he has to do. Many Americans have no idea of how lucky they are, spoiled f ucking whiners always complaing about everything as they do nothing.

RIP and thank you

Well, can you pass the hypocrite test? Did you never spout hatred for Obama?

    Thought so.

Are you referring to Trump the draft dodger?

You know our bone-spur-on-my-heel-but-I-can't-remember-which-one president. The one who said he was courageous during the 1960's because he had to avoid getting an STD. The one who led a multi-year completely bogus campaign against President Obama saying he was not born in the US. The one who called President Obama the "founder of ISIS." The one who falsely accused President Obama of having his wires tapped.

Trump has shown no respect and deserves none. Trump is an embarrassment to the US and to its history. He had to have President Xi of China explain Chinese-Korean history to him. The one who said "Who knew healthcare was so complicated." Trump is a moron.
