Wanted Subject Arrested In Angels Camp

Angels Camp, CA...On Saturday, 03/11/17, at approximately 5:50 PM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was on patrol when he noticed that a wanted subject was sitting on a bench in the 200 block of S. Main Street. James A. Moser III, a 39 year old transient male, was arrested after confirmation that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, related to a burglary case in Calaveras County. During the arrest it was discovered that Moser was in possession of a rifle round, which he is prohibited from possessing. He was also in possession of a white Apple iPhone that was suspected to be stolen property.

Moser was transported and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for the outstanding warrant, and on charges related to a prohibited person possessing ammunition. It was later discovered that he also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by Tuolumne County, related to possession of narcotics.

On 03/12/17 the owner of the iPhone was contacted and confirmed that the suspected stolen phone was theirs, and a supplemental report was completed. The supplemental report will be forwarded to the Calaveras County District Attorney's Office, for review and potential filing of additional charges related to possession of stolen property.

James has been doing drugs since the days of high school. So go look for another source to blame. Since he is doing much more than smoking pot!!
